OpenRoad Integrated Media, a still-stealth NYC-based eBooks marketing and publishing startup, has raised $3 million in funding, in a round led by Bay Area Holdings, a fund affiliated with Kohlberg Ventures, according to a new SEC filing. The company was founded this year by Jane Friedman, former CEO of HarperCollins Publishers Worldwide; she left the company in a huff last year to start this.
